boost controllers

I'm looking to purchase one in the next couple of days. I basically want one that won't spike (that much if any). Any suggestions? I was leaning towards the AVC-R

GReddy Profec B!!!!!
Very simple to operate, deadly accurate.
Buy the remote switch too if you want to add some more fun to your driving routine.

I opted for the avcr since it works well and looks nice. Looks good on the center console...

I was under the impression that boost spike has to do with the wastegate and piping itself, not with the controller. No?
