well guyz i hooked up the greddy turbo kit and took it for a spin, not realising that the wastegate hose had come undone : \ well i hit a 2 bar on the boost guage and then the whole car just shut off looking like i broke something for sure, car will not start. It just sits there and sounds like its choking.
So more or less going to go get the whole engine rebuilt......thinking eagle rods, je pistons, copper head gasket, and as for cams and everything else i would like some reccomendations from you all that have them thanks guyz.
yea man i was prolly pushin some crazy power, it felt faster then fast lol but dam this sux ! how long should a engine rebuild usually take ? is 3 weeks about an average time ?

i dunno if i'd be trusting any shops anymore if i was you
you see that post by turbosh?
depending on what's wrong and what you decide to do, you really don't want just any shop monkey doing the work. 3 weeks is a very short amount of time, and it indicates they're doing all the work themself. i.e., pull motor, disassemble motor, sleeve block, get new pistons and rods and etc, fit pistons to rods, select bearings, other misc machine work b/c it's out ot whack, blah blah blah
it's a serious undertaking, involving very tight tolerances. you really don't want to spin a bearing in a few months because they half assed the reassembly.
if you took the whole car to a reputable shop and had them do everything but the actual machine work (i.e. they send it to golden eagle or similar) i can't see how it would be less than 6 weeks, and that's extremely optimistic.

sounds good. i would press them a bit on how it only takes 3 weeks INCLUDING shipping the motor to and from golden eagle, and having golden eagle sleeve it. that would normally take 3 weeks all by itself.
