anyone else with getting a high idle with the cold weather?

It seems my idle is really high now with the cold weather. It's hits 2k rpms sometimes and just sits there. It happeneds when its really cold out and I just start my car. If I drive around (+/- 20mins) especially on the freeway then exit, the idle goes back to normal 700-1k rpms.

Thats absolutely normal. Your IAC valve is just controlling your Idle by looking at your engine temperature. Every cold start will idle high until the engine reaches Operating temperature.

I think I have the same problem. Do you have the AEM EMS system? I am still trying to fine out what is wrong. Let us know what you fine out.

Same thing happens to me. I usually let the car warm up for 3-4 minutes, and by that time, the Idle goes down to normal.

usually all cars idle higher than normal when its cold out and you start the car...it should go back down once your car warms up alittle...

no need to worry..

Have you done the throttle body coolant bypass? If you have, you should undo it during the winter months.

its never this high. I mean its a 2000rpms and its not really warming up, cause my water temp gauge warms up (a little under half) but the idle stays the same

Since you're running an AEM EMS, what does your AIT Fuel Table look like?
