check the motor out first, compression and leak down test, after that its all up to how good the tune is and how you treat the motor.

nice previous set-up with f22b, no problems probably because of the low compression. h22a can handle boost up to 8psi safely, bone stock motor. i've seen from 240-260whp from that set up. The biggest concern for most boosters of the h22 is the frm sleeving and weak ringlands. you can boost high compression motors if you have the right tuner but i'd still recommend lowering the compression just a tad bit to be safer. put it this way, computers can be clocked to from 1ghz to 2ghz through software and overclocking, but if the hardware cant handle it, it's going to give sooner than later. which is why i like your current f22b set up, but this is just my opinion.

what geramy said, get it compression tested & a leak down, would also check vacuum.

7-8psi max on bone stock

2nd if theres any engine noise it aint ready for boost, fix it. power adders will make it worst even faster.

3rd how you treat it regular oil changes amsoil for turbocars stays cooler than mobile1
let it warm up before driving
turbo timer let it cool down before shutting off
no high revs till temp reached
dont be on it all the time

& 4th dont race mini vans off the lights lol jk

Happy Boosting

if you already have hondata s300 plug your laptop to it & tune it or have a tuner do it safely
buy a wideband AEM or opx is recommend by hondata plug n play to s300 will auto tune to safe a/f ratios.

old thread but whatever. boost doesnt kill engines. power does.

this 7-8 psi max crap is just that....crap.

you could run a tiny turbo on 7 lbs and a ****ty setup and make no power or you could run 7psi on a bigger turbo and a nice setup. which one do you think is gonna be harder on the engine?
