6psi vs 9psi

I just changed my crank pulley to the Accord one so I can increase supercharger boost to 9psi. I didn't really notice an increase in power after the change. Anyone have the same experience? Maybe my expectations were a little high.

My engine is built and tuned (Hondata) with 2.5 exhaust and no cat.

are you actually seeing the 9lbs of boost now, and if so did you tune for 9lbs? With my friend Jason's car he made about 35whp by switching... but that all came from several dyno runs and tuning.

Yeah, actually max boost is 9.7psi according to the MAP sensor (read from one of my datalogging runs). The car was street tuned....maybe its time to up it and go for a dyno tune.

yeah for sure, if you dont already have one get a good header (im selling my hytech) and a 3" exhaust. that will also help.

I should give you the lowdown on my setup:

Kamikaze header
2.5" kteller exhaust
Vibrant steel core ultra high-flow cat
Magnaflow resonator
Flowmaster Deltaflow muffler

Mahle pistons
Forged rods
all new valvetrain
650 cc injectors
Hondata S300
Generic shortram intake
AEM water-meth injection

ACT clutch
Competition Clutch flywheel

And now the Accord crank pulley for 9psi boost

Keep us posted on the numbers you make...curious with your aem water/meth injections how your numbers come out...your spraying pre-blower on the intake? I currently have the endyn jackshaft pulley and at 9psi made 246whp with the greddy emanage...I finished my coolingmist kit this past week and no detonation where i normally had a lil when the temps were hot out so im looking forward to the results of my re-tune.

Again, keep us posted and ill post my results as well!!

Entire exhaust needs to be replaced with 3"

AEM water-meth injection

There's really not many mods on here.
Get a better header. Those hytech replicas are only $300 and go with the kteller 3" exhaust.
Then dyno tune.
You should notice a huge increase in power.

Header choice can be very subjective. I did my research and that's why I chose the Kamikaze. I think I'll be keeping it, along with my whole exhaust system, thanks. I will be going with a CAI though. That's a good suggestion.

I just pulled my SC off... I have an AEM CAI, some scratches as its almost 12 years old, but no dents and its already trimmed for the SC. $20 plus shipping and its yours.
