If Jackson Racing (who, amazingly enough, produces the supercharger kits) can't tell you when their kit is going to be released, I'd be willing to wager a good deal that nobody here will know either.

Either way, it'll be a bigger ***** of an install than the 5th Gens. Have fun.

The two main S/C kit producers are JR and Vortech. The former may produce one--we've all seen the prototypes (for the H23's) all over the place. The latter--well, once they finish their GSR kit, and everything else, they may want to consider a kit for the 4th gens in a couple decades.

there's a guy that lives near me with a 92-95 Civic HB, h22a powered. He took a Ford s/c and has it running his hb, I don't think I've ever seen a faster honda... looks like ****, but it hauls ass!

Yeah I'm considering a turbo too. But a SC is an easy bolt on. No need to tap the engine block for coolant and/or oil lines. And since I only want around 4.5 psig, a SC is definitely the better choice for my day-to-day street driving.

I'm happy to hear taht Vortech is considering one. Their civic kits really look hot.

For day to day street driving, I would say you would not want a vortech. Centrifugal superchargers aren't really well suited to 4 cylinders anyway since you get so little boost at low rpms. In terms of running the oil lines for a turbo, it's really not that big of a deal. I'd say go turbo b/c I would not want to wait on JR.

I checked into this awhile ago, too. My reply from Jackson Racing was the they were looking into the feasibility of the project. If an already existing supercharger would not work, then forget it. It looks as though they have the SC built for the H23A. I also checked into this with the local JRSC dealer, Proformance Engines, in Colorado. They said they were looking for someone to try this. What it would take:

Change H23A head to H22A head
Modify SC to work with this configuration.

Doesn't sound all that bad until you start looking at the engine bay. There is no way to run the belts from the SC to the crank pulley. They have to go through the strut tower. You would either have to get really creative with the belt set up, or get rid of the strut tower (cars don't go too well on three wheels, though.)

So, as far as a JRSC goes, I would forget it.

More feasible would be the Vortech set up.

If you really, really want to go SC, look into modifying a Vortech kit. They bolt up to the front of the car, so there is no interference with the strut tower.

Just thought I would throw in what I found out on the subject. I am a newbie, so take it with a grain of salt.
