11:1 turbo?

ok quick question.

the stock compression of a jdm h22a is 10.6:1 right? I'm pretty sure.

I want to turbo my car in the FUTURE.. soooo.. I'm about to buy the rods, pistons with a 11:1 compression and a cometic head gasket. I know the cometic head gasket is thicker than the normal one so my question is. Will the cometic head gasket average out the compression ratio back to 10.6:1? and will I beable to turbo this setup?

why 11:1? i'd do 9:1 or 10:1 and use an OEM headgasket

because a oem gasket wont beable to withstand the psi's I would be pumping into the engine. And the cometic gasket is layered steel, it will take a lot too blow that.

I'm trying to turbo my engine in the future (not a lot) and don't want to sacrifice any hp. Which is why I want to find out the Compression ratio limit for a turbo.

How many pounds are you planning on pushing? I pushed 18psi and mine was fine. Nothing seals better than OEM.

many people have made good power and driveablity with lower comp motors. You should stick with what works and is tried and true.

oh on your cometic question yes you can change the comp ration with the head gasket up or down mostly down. I think you could actually drop 1 comp point with there thickest head gasket.
one thing to look for is that a think head gasket will affect you timing belt lineup

Don't waste your money just buy low comp pistons your better off if your going to go turbo. With that high comp piston your just going to blow your motor and going with a thick head gasket to compensate is not worth it. Just buy the correct pistons for turbo the first time around.
