Vids & Pics: Drag Race Virginity gone today. Advice with my #'s?

I went today with our local online car forum, and with my 17s, I would launch at 4200(kinda worn tires) (60%off on clutch until I catch, then go all out) and I ran pretty good times. Then I put the 16s on the front, lowered the psi to about 27, and ended up with a 15.444. The first 12 runs, I missed 3rd probably 8/12. The next ten or so, I held the shifter differently and didn't miss 3rd anymore, but god slower shifts.
Black 1997 SH with AEM SR intake and an Aerospeed Muffler, took everything behind the front seats out. Took the wing off a few days ago for some pics, left it off because I liked the new look.

Vids (mine are at the end of each vid):

Me vs. friend's Integra- 15.6-89.51mph
(thats him bouncing the rev limiter )
check vid @ 2.10 http://members.cox.net/vtecpoweredta...-05----003.wmv

me vs. a girl in a white lude. 16.1 (missed 3rd twice)
check vid @1.15 http://members.cox.net/vtecpoweredta...-05----004.wmv

Pics:

my two best 1/4 slips were:

R/T ...... .011
60'........ 2.323
330....... 6.552
1/8........ 9.999
MPH....... 69.69
1000...... 12.966
1/4........ 15.444
MPH....... 90.84

Run 2

R/T ...... .336
60'........ 2.347
330....... 6.562
1/8........ 10.030
MPH....... 72.05
1000...... 13.013
1/4........ 15.514
MPH....... 90.41

Any comments, advice, or pointers? I have my nitrous system installed, just waiting for the shop to get my pills in.

Thanks,

Sam

good 60' time but try to get it to 2.2 and try launching at 5k rpms and lower the front tire pressure to 20psi or so

I'll try lowering the PSI next time. I'll also have some 15s so that should help me out as well.

As for missing 3rd, I think it was the way I was holding the shifter. I shifted the 3rd with just my middle finger knuckle, using ring and pinky to back it up. I kept missing 3rd.
Then I figured it was the way I was holding it, and sure enough; when I held the shifter with all my fingers on top of it, then went to 3rd, I didnt miss once.

I hit a 15.4 with aem cai, thermal exhaust, and stock tire pressure.
I guess the point to lowering your pressure is that you can launch at a higher rpm, thus giving you a more powerful launch. In all honesty I get a damn good launch with stock psi at 4 grand, by the time my tires catch I'm at 5 and then vtec :-)
But if i could launch at my vtec point or above, it would definatly cut down on the excessive wheel spinning because of the huge power spike at vtec engagement.
