Suspension Setting?

I just recently made it out to the track. I was quite unsure about whether to firm or soften my suspension. I ended up firming them up all the way but don't know why. I have Koni Yellows and Ground controls.

Any suggestions?

I'm not a drag racer. But I think you would want to go almost full stiff in the rear and leave the front shocks fairly soft. My rationale is the stiff rear shocks will counteract the front end pitching up as you leave the line. And the soft fronts allow the front wheels to react to bumps in the pavement quickly.

+1. I have the exact same setup in my car! I love my KoniYellow/GC's. I've had them for like 7 years now, zOMG i'm old! But yeah my instinct would be to firm them up all the way in the back to counteract the launch and keep the weight on the front wheels as much as you can. Then you have the soft suspension upfront to deal with the wheelhop issues.

Did you go to Orlando Speedworld I'm assuming. My GF's parents own a very small ranch out there. She lives so close you can hear the cars from the track! Oh man I can't wait to move back in may.

Ok cool I guess the next time I go out I'll Adjust them like that. I had them all at max firmness. It was my first time to the track ever, and every idiot with a rotary decided they wanted to spill oil all over it. I only got 2 runs in in about ~4.5 hours. It sucked.

^Ha, that's Orlando Speed World... It's been like that for YEARS. I remember back in 2000 when I used to take my lude out there it was the same way. Pay $10 for 5-6 hours and 2 runs, 3 if your lucky. They let all the big boys have their own lane and tons of fun. They always break stuff and it takes for ever to clean up.

I did soft as they go in the front, and stiff as they go in the rear. I ran 2x. Best time was a 15.7 @ 90.54 w/ a 2.47 60'.. pretty ****ty, I know.
