Iam also interested in more info on this.
I have 4 steelies with bald tires sitting in my garage..(15x6.5)

I was thinking maybe I should put on drag radials on 'em and use for track purpose...

I think the BfGoodrich radials are some of the best drag radials available. However, if you are looking into getting a set of steelies for track use only, then I just couldn't recommend drag radials.

If I were you I would look into some Mickey Thompson 22x8x15 slicks. If you're looking into something you can bolt on at the track, then slicks would be the better option.

If you're looking into something you can drive on, then obviously slicks wouldn't be the best choice. In that case the BFG's are great.

I agree whole-heartedly, if you are going to make these into dedicated track use only then full on slick would be the best choice, but if you plan on doing some illegals during the weekend then the radials are you best option and the BFGoodrich tires are the best of pretty much all of them thus far, plus they are very cost effective, well at least for they are

I have never heard of BFG drag radials breaking driveshafts; cant say the same for slicks. For someone who wants to stay in the street racing class at the track, drag radials on steelies would make a great combonation.

thanks for the input. since these will only be track wheels, i decided to go w/the M&H slicks and Kosei K-1 (15x7) rims....(13lbs) compared to 24lb steelies.

slicks came in yesterday, rims should be in next week. ill let u guys knoe how things turn out w/them

hwani.h22a. - ive heard nothing but good things about the bfgoodrich drag radials. you should def look into these for ur steelies.
