Ok, shifting from 1st to 2nd is butter, but from 2nd to 3rd, just doesnt seem to flow as well. It almost seems like the shift know wants to flex, and have been thinking about getting a heavier shift knob. Might help by giving it some weight. Anyone feel the same way I do. I am not missing 3rd, it just doesnt feel natural. If you do reccomend a heaveier shift knob, which one? Skunk2?

do you have a short shifter? It seems by your description that there really isnt a problem, its just that the upshift feels awkward to you because you have to move it horizontally around the gate
Yea, that ain nothin. I have shifted from 3rd to 2nd twice. It had to have been the nerves. First time at the track was a little nerve racking. 10k rpms is crazy on a stock valve train, but my motor is fine. No CEL, and compression is still great on all cylinders.

the only time i had trouble hitting my gears was when my shift linkage went bad, wouldnt grab third gear at high revs,..ugh...other than that i hit every one 2nd third and 4th..i was reading that some owners stay in third through the 1/4?? wtf..i tried that and it was slower, oh well..and yeah your slow Lewis haha..lol..jk, but you are USDM i mean come on ..j/k
daily driving for me has gotten ugly....i think i got lazy foot syndrome....lol every time i shift i cant make it smooth as butter theres always hard bite from the clutch...i think i should pay attention to driving instead of paying attention to the pretty girls in skirts...hehe
