sad day at the track for SS lude

first time ever running but i'm not going to blame it on that

RT: 1.069
60' : 2.463
330 : 6.966
1/8 : 10.507
MPH : 70.55
1000 : 13.5
1/4 : 16.039
MPH : 87.85

did get to run much because of all the people but DAMN...such a different atmosphere then i woulda thought. is this a normal time for SS ludes? i thought they were high 15s...i'm pretty sure with a good reaction time i can break into very high 15s. i have Injen SRI and Tanabe RM. ionno, i just ordered 5speed tranny and i'm getting it installed next week for $950 because i'm so dissappointed.

Reaction times wont help your 1/4 mile time at all as the timer isn't tripped until your car crosses the starting line.

That's actually not bad at all for an SS. The fastest all motor SS I've ever heard of was Dan Yi's, and he ran a 15.4 with I/H/E/P/cams/blah blah blah.

That's better than most stock ss ludes run. One guy from my local Prelude club runs a in a 97 SS - 14.8s @98mph. He is LVSBB6 on here, and has basically I/E/H/P/Cams/V-AFC/Intake manifold.

Doubt it, even if you deep stage there's still a few inches between the 2nd staging sensor and the sensor for the beginning of the 1/4. Deffinently stage as shallow as you can as it gives you a little more track to get going before you trip the sensor to begin the 1/4.
