Possible 1/4 mile time

Ok... so I was thinking... right now I have I/E and Azenis... and that's pretty much it for performance mods... I've never ran it at the track, but I was thinking about doing so once the weather cools down a little more here in AZ.

What kind of times would I run with the way my car is?

If I got I/H/E/P/hiflow cat/VAFC and Azenis, about what kind of times should I get?

Obviously this is assuming good launches. I was thinking of getting pullies and a VAFC soon... plus I'm hoping to get enough money to get a Mugen header. If I don't get a Mugen, should I even bother getting a header at all?

If you've never been to the track before you will probably see hight 15s to low 16s unless you are just a natural. The track is completely different from the street so dont expect any great times.
With the second list of mods you could probably get mid 14s with enough practice at launching.
Good luck!

Jeremy: I doubt those extra mods will help much. It all comes down to your launch. I say get to the track now "before" you add the mods. Two words of caution: it's SLIPPERY!

I went to the track (LACR) for my first time just a few weeks ago and was very disappointed. And I've got all the mods on your wish list too..including Mugen. I trashed nearly all my launches and even bounced of the rev limiter a few times..something I "never" do on the street. Don't expect anything better than 16's or 15's and you will have nothing to lose. Plus, if wait for all your mods first, you will expect alot more out of your car. And even Mugen parts won't get you off the line...it's all driver skill. My best 60' was around 2.5. You've got to beat that to break into low 15's and get 60' times closer to low 2's to get into 14's. It's not as easy as I thought.

Let us know how it goes. Hopefully I'll be back to the track soon. I've been practicing 4500 rpm drops on the street with good results. Good luck

I know what you mean about it being slippery. I've done ONE run on the track.

I got a 2.65 60' time in my friend's B18 Civic 4dr... it was my one and only run at the track... I ran a 15.3 (not pushing the car as hard as I should have since it didn't belong to me)... he runs a 14.7 with it. So for my one and only run, and the fact that it wasn't my car, I wouldn't say it was too bad... I'm sure I launch my own car a lot better.

BTW... those were with the Kumho 712s... I have Azenis now (and so does he) and these tires launch a hell of a lot better than the 712's...

When are you going to the track Jeremy? Let me know and I will go out there with you. Don't expect any great times in the heat. Should cool down by then end of October.

Yeah... I was thinking end of October or early November when it cools down... but at the same time I wanna go when it's not so crowded... do they still have that slow car night (Import Night) at Firebird on Thursdays?

import night was the most crouded. Way too many ricers showing up because they were scared to race with the fast cars on Saturday. Check the webpage, they should have a schedule posted.
