My lude visited the drag strip tonight..

well. Thumbs up.

Pros: AEM CAI, DC Header, Greddy Evo2, Motor mount, Lean Short shifter, spare/jack taken out, CF hood.

Cons: 18" wheels, 1step colder plugs, past CEL issues, excessive drop w/ bad negative camber.

60': 2.398
1/4: 14.886 @ 93.23mph

muahahahahahaha. yes I was very happy. this was w/o nitrous.
(they wouldn't let me race with nitrous mounted in the trunk. they told me
only way I can race with it is, if the bottle is mounted to the frame of the car)

I ran constant 15.0 flat all night. Trapped around 92~93mph average.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my time. I was expecting low 15s(preferrably 15.1~15.3s)..
but no.. that 14.8 made my day.

My 60ft however, was bad as expected. Never went below 2.3.
In fact, my 60 stayed around 2.34~2.45.

Hoping I can improve my 60' time with maybe camber kit, smaller wheels w/ better tires.

holy damn thats good w/o spray!

Bottle mounting on the frame? that blows. Mine's in the rear passenger's foot rest, with the seat holding it down. easiest place ever

Yeah, somehow they didn't care about blow-down kit at all.
They just told me that the bottle must be attached to the frame with bracket or something.

I can't wait to get better 60ft and with n2o.
I can probably hit high 13s if somehow I can manage low 60' and proper n2o pressure.

Why are the colder plugs a liability?

colder plugs = safety for n2o... but it "supposed" to decrease NA power. not by much tho.

Awesome times. I would love to see what the car can hit on 16" wheels and spray!

Thats good bro but you could hit better times with a 2.2 60ft. Ive hit 14.5 with similar mods. Also try flattening the tires to like 20lbs. Helps cut those times better, and avoid the water box as its bad for street tires.

Also put on the stock rims. The tires arent that bad. I cut 2.19 60ft with them one time when i still had my lude. Aslong as the tread is good your straight.

Get rid of the DC header for a nicer piece and run a test pipe to the exhasut and you will have a crucial lude killing it at the track.

Yeah. My tire pressure was at 32 at the time. (I didn't prepare for track.. it was random.
my friends wanted to go, so I just... went).

2.19 60ft is GOOD. wow. Any more advices on how to cut better 60ft?

Sure, thanks for asking. LOL

Well, when you stage at the light dont stress it, the reaction time. Even when the light turns green dont go, take your time. The clock doesnt start until you pass the line. I personally would launch at 6000. The key at that high RPM is to slowly let the clutch out, and modulate the clutch and gas until you feel grip. While doing this also though, try to keep the revs tacked at 6000-5500 rpms. Any lower and it will suck ass. LOL Once you catch traction just floor the gas pedal and shift like a mad man. Thats how ive pulled off my 14.5 1/4mile time with just i/e/test pipe and pulleys.
