My first time...

I was able to drag for the first time at NPM. I had fun but I liked the track day and auto-x a lot better. I was able to dyno earlier that day and put down 160.1 whp and 140.6 wtq. I may drag in the future every now and then. Here are the times from my best run.

R/T - .451
60' - 2.461
330 - 6.857
1/8 - 10.416
MPH - 68.96
1000 - 13.475
1/4 - 16.058
MPH - 88.47

Tell me what u guys think, I was on Falken 512's and dropped the pressure to 20 PSI.

If you're 5 speed, you should have gotten a better quarter time. But since its your first drag...

It could have been your launch, what do you launch at and do you drop it or feather it?

yea thats a pretty bad time...Obviously a reflection of your 60ft @ 2.46 which is pretty high. You should be at about 15.3-15.6 with good driving.

btw his sig says type-sh and all type-sh's are 5 speeds...

It is a 5 spd and my only mods are an Espelir Cat-back exhaust and a K&N drop in air filter.

I would launch around 4k and it was more of a drop than a feather.

Every single person who went to NPM and ran their car at the track did crappy, because it was real humid out there.

Well first off, from the dates i could tell im a little late. But either way heres my 2cents for ya. Try launching at like 5k but at the dragstrip you have to be really easy wiht the feathering the clutch and modulating the gas when launching. Just modulate them both while keeping the needle at like 5k to like 6k keep it in that range, until you catch traction, when you do floor it, you'll be able to feel it cause you will get a little wheel hop when trying this technique, which is good. Once you catch traction like i said you just floor it.

Also are you shifting at 8k on the stock tach? Our stock tachs are really off on 5th gens. 8k is really the fuel cut at 7600. So thats where you should shift. Also try working on your shifting technique and popping of the clutch ability. If you master this along with keeping the tire pressure at like 20 you should be able to pull 2.1s and 2.2s all day. I did with stock RE92s. Good luck!
