Had a long night at Cecil County last night...decided about 3pm to take my car down on race gas (keep in mind the car's never been on racegas or >15psi) I drained the rest out of my tank and threw in a couple gallons of C16...went out for a quick loop around some back roads to get things dialed in. I upped the boost to 20psi, tweaked the fuel, and added a bit of timing. It was still an uber-conservative tune w/ ~15.5 degrees at 20psi but I didn't have too much time to screw with it and it felt pretty dirty so off it went. My first run was decent but roasted the slicks through 1st and 2nd...12.7 Not bad but since I was running 12.6 on 13psi it definitely wasn't good. When I got back in the pits I found the problem, I blew my upper intercooler pipe most of the way off...the datalogs confirmed it, I was only making ~12psi on top. I let a couple pounds out of the slicks, lowered the 2-step 200rpm and cranked the boost down to 17psi which gave me the best run of the night. Bogged a bit off the line resulting in a less-than-stellar 1.95 60' and didn't full-throttle-shift but still tripped the lights with a 12.55@116, a new personal best. I was pretty sure with the increased mph and some cleaner driving I'd be low-12's but unfortunately it didn't happen...missed 4th on the next pass and braked to a 13.2@81

and the last pass I blew the intercooler pipe and only pulled a 13.0.
