I usually go at 6k, lightly slipping the clutch as I go. But, my car has an LSD and traction control so wheelspin is not really a problem. But, the TC cuts engine power in preventing the wheelspin so I usually switch it off and slip the clutch instead.

well on my old stock Si on kumho's i'd lauch at 2700 and usually get low 2.3 60ft times, but on my turbo si on drag radials i launched at 4k and would get 2.1's. Also that was on a 2step so it's a lil different

I launch at the track at 5500 and slip it, 2.19 60fts on stock tires. And on the street 6k launches all day.
