Yeah ill be doing a little bit of weight reduction but not much. Pretty much clear the trunk out, spare tire etc.. and maybe backseat.

What i really should do is hit the gym haha

I could easily get about 50lb off rite there. Or i could have my friend Sack race my car for me, he cant be much over 100lbs.

If you ran a 14.8 on a stock car then i honestly think im not that far off from a 14.6 time. Since that is the best time my brothers GT has ever ran all i need is get closer to that.

Iv been reading alot tunning threads here on the forum but im not sure when i should tune my car or if it would be worth tunning with just what i have on it at the momment. Or what kind of mods i should have before tunning.

I am getting tax money back soon so i have a good amount of money coming in

eCtune

Look up eCtune.com see where the closest authorized tuner is to you. I live near morganton, nc and Blueridge Motorsports got 45whp out of an H22A Civic with a chipped and tuned civic ecu... I know that civic would kill the stang, but the civic is very light... They can make your timing more aggressive, adjust the air/fuel ratios, vtec crossover... everthing... just go to the site.

Thanks man. Im pretty excited about it...Im a track virgin so hopefully my first time is everything iv ever dreamt of and more!

I will just be racing a few of my friends when im at the track. Im gonna lose all them cuz ill be going up against a moded 05 wrx, a new mazda speed3, civic hatch with LS integra motor swap and turbo. Also might possibly race an rsx type-s a-spec model. Then im saving my brother for last. haha

hondas are so much easier than gm to work on. heck if you work in the service department of gm you do see more than v8's most of their cars are v6's and 4cyl.

I did end up going to the track on Saturday!

I have to say it was one of the funnest things i have ever done! The whole experience was even better than i had thought, my time....uhhh not very good hahaha

I ran 4 times and my first run was horrible, but i was really nervous and pretty much messed everything up. I ran a 17.237! at 86.769 mph. My reaction time was.683.

My second run was a little bit better. I was still nervous and had too much adrenaline running thru me! haha I ran a 16.447 at 87.794mph with a reaction time of .734

3rd run: On this run i was more calm and had a better time. I ran a 15.996 at 90.776mph with a good reaction time of .044...wish i had that reaction time on my next and best run of the day!

My final run was also a little better but reaction time was horrible. I ran a 15.657 at 89.49mph with a reaction time of .521

Even tho i didnt get anywhere close to what i wanted i had a really great time and now im addicted! Its all i can think about! I need to get better tires on my car, too much tire spin thru 1st and 2nd.(oh yeah and i need a turbo!)

I think i did pretty good for my first time, for some reason alot of cars were running slow today. the track was alot slicker than i thought it would be, im guessing its because it was the first runs of the year. I got better times than alot of ppl there so i wasnt feeling too bad.

I ran my brother on my 3rd run and i ended up with a 15.9 and he beat me with a 14.9...i shifted too soon into 2nd(tires were spinning). I was ahead of him by about half a car thru first and second, but once i got into third it was game over.

Saturday was a really good day. Well except for my friend james, he has a wrx with 9k on it and he blew out his tranny on his third run and on his first time launching his car..ooops. We gotta throw all the stock stuff back on now so we can take it into the dealership.

I can't wait to go back to the track and keep on imporoving my times. Im gonna look into getting better tires, since mine are my everyday tires and are kinda going bald. Even tho i didnt get close to the outcome i wanted Im gonna work on it and have a blast doing it.

Nice man, sounds like you had an awesome time. Yeah personally I'm going to the tracks this Friday, but I'm just going to watch first and see how it's done, it's been so long since ive been to the tracks. But soon after that I plan on making a run on the tracks. Your last time seems pretty good and probably the more you go the better you get at drag racing and with your reaction time, I hope I do eventually. Glad you had a good time man!!

Glad you had fun....

Get TUNED and you will make up that time... Find the closest authorized eCtuner and get a p06 (or get one from them) and get rid of your p13... it may very well be the weakest factory ecu from honda... the H motors have way more potential than that computer can use...

Compared to bolt-ons I have used, the tuning did more good (I'm sure the bolt-ons help the tune as well), but with the right guys you can squeeze 40whp out of an h22!!!

so what the hell happened? did you race him. did you get to drunk and forget about us at hondaprelude online? Did you practice at the track and try the different shift points. Personally I would of launched high dropped 1-2 psi in front tires, cams and gears, light flywheel and disonecting the power steering belt.
