Gtech 1/4mi times

Not sure if this is the right forum...

JDM H22, Short Ram CAI, Carsound Cat, RS*R, and advanced timing w/ NGK plugs and wires.

Gtech says 14.3 @ 107

I saw that and imeditely ran it again thinking the meter wasnt calibrated... same numbers, then a 14.5 @ 105

So I ran my brothers car, a 95 Civic DX
17.1 @ 80
17.3 @ 79

The exact same numbers he got @ LACR about a month ago.

Can my car really be that fast? I am almost postiive that the trap speed is a little high, should be around 99ish? I let off at the limiter in 3rd.
Ill look up what my 60ft times were when I get home, but I was pulling 6.2sec 0-60mph times

That's not very accurate if you ask me....considering preluderacer023 runs 13.7 at 101 or something...

What is your tire size/rim size?

Stock, just lowered...

I know the speed is high... i'll have to run it again.

But do you think the time is accurate? 14.3 on a stock jdm h22 with minor boltons? I was @ 3200ft elev. too!

The time is prolly right..GTEC speeds are not 60ft averages, so dont trust em. I ran @ 15.35@96.5 in my stock GSR...see what I mean?

i seriously doubt thats even close...i didnt get into the lower 14s until i added gears ecu and vafc...you dont even have a header yet, id say youll run a 14.7 or 6 ish...to give you some perspective, i ran my car on a Gtech, at the track the same night i ran 14.3 @ 98...on the Gtech it said 13.4 @ 107...i seriously doubt the accuracy of those things, it uses an accelrometer, so hard jolts ect affect its readings, such as hard shifts ect...go to the track, youll see....peace bro

yeah, i used to trust my gtech a good amount. it was always consistent and the 1/4 times were always within .2 of my track times. the hp meter was always within 5 hp of my dyno baseline too.

then last weekend i bust out the gtech since i installed a mugen header. well it hasn't been used in a couple years and my first 1/4 was a 15.54@98 w/ lots of wheelspin. my best time at the track is 15.14@94. then i used the hp metter and it said i'm making 219whp!! needless to say i'm chucking that thing.

not sure what happened, maybe i left it in the garage too long and it needs to be recalibrated?

BTW:
I have a Competition Gtech Pro II, the new one, with the pretty blue screen.

Much more accurate than the 1st Gen Gtech's
