Does this sound normal

A few weeks ago I took my 99' SH lude to the track to do some 1/4 mile runs. I like to think that I am a good driver since I've been drag racing for a few summers now. Anyway, my results were consistently between 15.4x and 15.5x @ 90 - 92 mph with 2.2xx - 2.3xx second 60'.

Now this was using 24 lb mags (total weight with tire 43 lbs) and about 150-200 lbs of audio equipment in my trunk. I was using Kumho 712's @ 19 psi.

I was a little surprised at the numbers I was getting since I've heard of 5 gens with bolt on's doing high 14's. Are my numbers normal considering I only have a CAI and exhaust (not cat-back)?

What mods do you have? Those times sound fairly normal for a close to stock 5th gen. Definately take all the stuff out next time though.

My only performance mods are CAI and Exhaust (not cat-back). I always try to run with the same setup I have on the street. I know some Base 5th Gen'ers have been able to get into the high 14's with I/H/E and some light weight wheels. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes that's true, but there's different variables that come into play such as track temperature, humidity, air temperature, tire pressure, altitude, etc. If you consistently hit 2.2x 60' times then you should be able to get into the 14 second range with lighter rims.

Funny thing is that I weight my mag with the tire and it was 43lbs. I then weighted the stock SH rim with the stock tire and it was 39 lbs. Does 4 lbs on each corner make a big difference?

I know my biggest problem is the 150 lbs of audio equipment I have in the car (including the bottle of juice in my trunk) but I never thought it would make that big of a difference on 1/4 mile times.
