crappy 1/8mile time today

i ran at the 1/8 mile track today and i am disgraced. this is the first time i took my car to the track with a turbo and it is a lot harder than when i had nitrous. i couldn't get traction for sh*t. but i did trap as high as this one gtp that had a 14 psi pulley. anyways i did manage to beat a srt-4 that had drag radials. it was hard to get traction today because it was soo cold. my last run also burned my clutch. i'm gonna need a new clutch. here the stats. i would post the slip but i don't know how. tell me what u guys think about the times and trap speed. also if u could estimate a 1/4 mile time. i'm boosting 6 psi.

reaction- .437
60 ft- 2.292
330 ft- 6.245
1/8 et - 9.453
1/8 mph- 77.18

regardless of the red light his time starts when he moves from the line. anyways, from your time slip it seems like you could have ran anywhere from a 14.4-14.6 with that 1/8 mile time. what kind of tires were you using? with a 2.1 you should be able to see low 14's. in my 92' prelude i pulled off a 9.18@77.29 mph with a 2.1x 60'

i didn't red light. at my track .5 isn't a perfect time. a perfect time would be .00 at my track. i don't don't know why it is different from other tracks. i'm running some crappy riken raptor tires. some no name tires. i'm sure if i got traction i could've done around 9 flat. i had a buddy with a rsx-s that runs even with me on the street but he got 8.9. he just had new tires and his clutch was still good. cali i'm trapping the same as u so my car should be capable of lower 9's. when i had my 100 shot i hit a 8.7 with no traction either.

yea, the trap speed shows what you are capeable of. by the way are you still running the 2.25" piping with your turbo set up? if so, i think that is hurting you. and as far as tires I would recommend the yokohama avs es100's or the falken azenis.

you won't hit mid 8's with a 77mph trap speed. thats good for low to mid 14s. @ 97-98mph in the 1/4 mile. Its about what I'm running with bolt ons and a JDM Motor right now. usdm motor on 6psi i was running low 9s @ 78-80mph with 222whp and considerably faster on the jdm 6psi setup. It sounds like you need to tune the car a lot better b/c you have the mods its just not making any power right now. Id definately do that first before trying ot run at the track more good start and good launch

thanks for the support LC. i'm sure i'm running too rich. my exhaust tip is all black ever since i got my turbo and u can smell the fuel when it's idleing. i'm gonna tune when i save for my hondata but as for now i need a new clutch and some decent tires (i'm using riken raptors right now). i also got a 3 in hi flow cat and a 3 in turbo muffler, i just gotta save for the 3 in piping. keep in mind that i'm still using 2.25 crush bent pipes right now. i'm sure i could atleast dip into the 8's with my new exhaust setup, clutch, and parada spec 2's. my buddy with his turbo rsx-s ran an 8.9 and on the street we are even till 90mph. i had a friend there also with a gtp running 14 psi and he hit 8.7 and trapped at only 78. i don't understand that. when i ran open exhaust my blitz power meter showed 235whp then when i put my 2.25 in crushed pipes it only showed 208whp. it felt wayyyyyy faster and pulled harder when i ran without the exhaust. so i'll update u guys in a few weeks.

i don't know for sure about the hp reading. i'll let u know when i dyno tune. but the 1/8 mile timer is +/- 1 tenth of a second. i actually tested it on the track.
