ok guys I just got my new shiney light ass cf hood. I was wondering if it is legal to race at the track w/o hood pins? The latch on the hood is soooooo well secured. It has like a inch of thichness holding it on . The hood dosn't wobble flying down the freeway so it is hella secure. I just wasn't too sure about the track rules. ??? I HATE HOOD PINS . FUGLY. but I do understand the purpose. hehe . let me know what is up.

at the track i run on i don't think they would care. lots of poeple take their hoods off to run. i would think since its your money that would go flying off and break your car that it would be mostly up to you.

last time I went there, the tech guy noticed the microswitch.
he said I couldn't run with the n2o, but after a couple runs, I hooked everything back up.
I went to so cali speed way, I have a cf hood without pins, ( i agree fugly) and he didn't say nothing, But I hear you alpha, he said I couldn't squeeze without the vent tube exiting the car, so I said I would take it out, and never did.

My buddy with no hood pins races his CRX at PIR (portland, oregon) and they don't care.
In defense of hood pins, I dont think they are ugly, plus without mine my hood flexed and wobbeled. Now it doesn't move at all.
