can anyone here run 8.3 in the 1/8th

I run 8.3 at 87mph with my 94 camaro z28 with bolt ons, dr's, and a tune. I have 1100 in my car with mods and got the car for 3600 with 100000 miles on it. every time I go to the dragstrip there is not single import that can beat it. there was only one occasion where there was and that was a turbo'd rsx on 21psi boost with over 11000 total under the hood and 14000 in the car used. he ran 8.2 at 93mph that means that he had no traction then started catching it and pulled hard when it did. and he definitely had dr's

8.3 is pretty good, I'm sure there a handfull of boosted ludes on this site that run around there. However owning a prelude is not about going fast in a straight line, it has style, class, looks, comfort, handling, and it's just overall sporty which the same can't be said about american muscle. Most people on this site drive preludes because of the overall package, and not railroad racing, cheers.

You sure know how to pick your races!! 1/8 mi. against weak cars that lack any significant amount of low end torque.

I don't really pick them. it's just to go to a 1/4th I have to drive like 60miles. it's 15 to the 1/8th that most everyone goes to.

I would have to take you for a ride in my camaro. I don't think a prelude can out corner it. it handles amazingly. I used to be into imports and I can honestly say that my camaro handles amazingly in the corners. my weekend cruiser is a 74 porsche 911 with a 92 suspension conversion with efi conversion. I would have to say my camaro out handles it and beats it in a straight line no problem. also I don't see anything wrong with the look of an f-body. they have an agressive and smooth look to them.

Mine runs around 9.5 if I remember correctly. I'm not sure if you realize this, but Prelude's are not drag cars. They are not made for small 1/4 mile races. The gearing plus being FWD does not really help them for 1/4ing.

They are however good at lateral G and braking.

hah.. My l33t machine is a company vehicle on which I don't pay a payment, gas, or insurance.

This is my former:

4# crank pulley, JLP ram-air/cai, Bassani exhaust, JLP tune. Not much, but I DO have pics to prove it all.

You're an F-Body driver trolling an import forum, aren't you??

Also, did you check the other thread where I posted the email from an Edelbrock tech, stating that there is no such thing as an 03/04 Cobra supercharger application from Edelbrock?? Just thought it would be useful the next time you decide to pull some far-fetched claim out your a$$.
