yes. newer ones are even easier to beat (lower rev limiter)

umm, stock for stock, it's a drivers race IMO.

but, they run a mid to low 14's with minor mods.

I've never had a problem not saying my car is fast but its just your typical modded lude. Don't bet on it...but you shouldn't lose.

my car is slow as crap, i drive auto, the only "mod" i have is my greddy evo, i have 17 inch rims...

i would never race my crappy automatic against a celica

hrmm... i disagree alot on this topic. my brother has a celica gt-s. it was a 2002 and i would spank it left and right... until he switched out to a 2001 ecu. with a higher rev limiter, he was able to eliminate 1 whole second off his 1/4 mile times. another thing is his car responds to car mods alot better. similar to the type S i-vtec, injen CAI gains around 10-15whp. whichever is faster... decide for urself when u race one

^^ that's what i was getting at- 2002 can't make advertised power cause the rev limiter cuts in before the redline.

i say its a drivers race.....slight edge going to celica..

i raced 2 at the tracks.....once i had i/e and he had intake...and he pulled in 2nd then i pulled back the same amount in 3rd... i only won cuz he redlighted

2nd race...guy had i/e and i had i/h/p and same results..

why do celicas gotta be so light (2500+lbs)

if the guy in the celica can drive and has i/e your gonna get spanked unless you can reallly drive your car theyre mid to mid low 14s with a few bolt ons..seems most people cant drive thier cars though

^^ yup...i just cant get the launch down....if i launch at 4.5k to 5.5k i get wheel spin....if i launch anything lower i get bad wheel hop....

and i will keep practing....i went to the tracks 4 times already
