Well, I just picked up a pair of MT 22x8x15. Right now they're mounted on Rota Slipstreams, 15x6.5 and meant for a 4x100 pattern. Ideally I was looking for a 15x7 universal 4 lug, so I can use them on my Hatch and my Lude. I found that "ASA" makes these for me in a uni-4lug/15x7. Not many companies make wheels for our cars it seems. Seeing more why people are swapping the 5 lugs on 4th gens. Wheel selection is a b!tch!

I didn't even look into offsets.
I know I didn't answer your question 100%.....but I too am anxious to see replies on this topic.
I don't think we need 15x8's though.
I found some, i'll post it for the good of all 4th genners who don't want to convert to 5th gen knuckles. www.diamondracingwheels.com has wheels for mounting slicks in 15x7 or 15x8 4x4.5 (4x114.3) just when you order make sure you tell them the proper offset 48-52mm i believe. Also how are you fitting 15x8 slicks on 15x6.5 or even 15x7 rims? I'm just not clear on how mounting works, could you clear this up for me?
I wish I could bleed some huge reply but I can't.
8" tires will work on 6.5" wheels and larger........
The sidewalls are just rolled over a bit. They're fine to use, but I need every bit of that rubber I can get for my launches......
