3rd Gen 1/4 mile times

Well, I have finally run my 3G lude. It was at Calder Park race way (Australia).

I am soooo happy. It was so much fun.

My 3g ran a best of 16.126 @ 137.8KPH

Here are my runs

16.652 - 1st run lots of wheel spin, track was still green
16.343 - No bad but still wheel spin
17.050 - Messed up the shift from 1st to 2nd.
16.542 - Not enough revs, bogged down a little
16.450 - Same story, not enough rev, bogged down slightly then wheel hop
16.179 - Near perfect, 5700rpm launch. Track getting very sticky by this stage and needing more revs to get some wheelspin
16.126 - 6000rpm launch, got clutch slip but went well.

All in all, I'm pretty wrap. I was going to be happy with a sub 17s time but I think next time I'll carry less fuel (had 3/4 tank left) and remove the sub, amps etc.

Not bad I think for a 15YO lude with 218,000kms on it.

I had 4 runs with DMT from preludeaustralia.com who's 5th Gen VTi-R (Type SH in USA) ran a best of 15.4 with rear muffler and intake pod.

nice times for a 3rd gen. with a lower 60' you can easily break into the 15's I recommend getting some sticky tires to help you lower you 60' times. Good luck next time.
