Not really hp is more usefull with better gearing. For example a diesel engine has gobs or torque like say 400 ftlbs but only like 250hp. A car with 400hp and 250ftlbs will be much faster.
HP is just the result of Torque and Rpms. Torque curve determines the cars acceleration...the Hp is the result of torque * rpms. But that can be a misleading statement to the dumb. No, a torquey prelude Si will not be faster than an integra type R....because it dosent make the Hp to move it.
I actually found a car usint autotrader used car comparison with similar numbers.... early 90's (like a 91) buick lesabre.
3200lbs
Horsepower 165@4800rpm
Torque (lbs-ft) 210@2000rpm
anybody know what these things run?
