Thoughts on traction bars? - Honda Prelude Forum

So now that there are companies producing traction bars for all of us, except SH's, what do you guys think of them? I know a lot of people use them for the drag strip & launching, but what about track racing? Is this worth getting the bar as opposed to a spherical bearing radius rod setup? (which I already have installed & love) I know there's a weight savings benefit, but how do you think it'll stand up to the torsional forces applied during track days? Any and all input appreciated. Let's open this up for discussion, guys.

I think the explicitspeed design is likely to cause binding, and the lack of a provision for the center brace under the engine tying the front crossmember to the rear will have a negative impact on chassis stiffness.

Why would a lateral brace down the central axis of the car have any impact on torsional rigidity?

If you check out THIS link, you'll notice that explicitspeed isn't the only company producing traction bars for us now. There's a total of 3 companies/people who make them now.
