Tein HA spring length question

I'm considering buying a set of 10kg/mm springs for my Tein HA's to test out. It'll allow me to have 3 additional spring combinations (12F/10R, 10F/12R and 8F/10R) that may work out better for me. Regardless I think whatever combination that I settle with will be better than the 12kg/mm front and 8kg/mm rear that the HA's come with. Now the sizes that I'm thinking of are either the 200mm or the 175mm or 7.8" or 6.8" respectively. Right now I'm down to the last 2/3" of adjustment threads on the rear and have around 1.5" of threads in the front. These are all for adjusting down, I have a good 3" for adjusting upward. I'm thinking the 175mm is probably the better choice but just wanted to see if any one else with the Tein's that has bought new springs have tried. Or maybe someone has a set of 10kg/mm I can buy.

Be aware that the shorter the spring, the less suspension travel you'll have until coil bind. I'd try to fit the longest spring you can.

175mm is shorter than 7", I would stick with at least the 200mm springs. I ran 7" springs on my setup but Billy is right, the more free length you can fit the better, plus you dont have issues with the springs decoupling when they unload.

175mm should be around 6.89" so not too far off.

But I think you both are right, probably the 200mm length is the better length to choose in this case esp if it ever does reside in the front of the car.

Drew, free length has nothing to do with uncoupling. You'd have the same gap regardless of free length if you kept the ride height the same.

Ahh good point, I wasnt thinking that through totally. At any rate, I never had problems I was aware of with 7" springs, but after talking to Billy and thinking over my setup I would have rather had 8" ones.
