STS Engine Management

After reading and re-reading the STS rules it seems that hondata is not allowed due to the ecu change. Therefore, it seems a VAFC or Emanage is the only way to go. Can the more experienced autocrossers verify my interpretation?

I would rather spend money on a hondata unit, S200 or S300, rather than a hack, but I want to remain in STS.

Thanks.

The biggest killer for most Preludes is rule 14.10.E.6 which says you must remain 49 state legal for emissions. That means if you have OBDII you can not convert back to OBDI. Going Hondata means you have to convert to OBDI if you have OBDII. So for all 5th gens and OBDII 4th gens that means VAFC or Emanage are your only choices. If you have an OBDI 4th gen AND you can put the Hondata chipped boards into your original ECU housing you would be legal. But I don't know if that is possible to do.
