Recommend me a Spring Rate

Alright, here's the deal. My Tein HA's have just been rebuilt by Tein USA to handle up to 12kg/mm springs front and rear. Right now they're in transit to Koni USA to get shock dynoed as I've yet to see a Tein HA shock dyno other than the one Tein provides in the manual. Tein was able to give me some reference points that they used for the rebuild, but I wanted to see what % of the clicks were useful and what kind of adjustment range the shocks had as well. Tein would do this, but charges an additional $25 a corner for this service.

Now, I have a set of 8kg/mm, 10kg/mm, and 12kg/mm springs that I can use currently. I was thinking of doing the 10kg/mm in front and 12kg/mm in rear as a first try as the car didn't feel all that different with the 12kg/mm front and 10kg/mm rear when I installed that for a few weeks. Though I never autocrossed or pushed the car very hard with the 12kg/mm front and 10kg/mm rear.

The rest of the setup is Spoon upper bars, Tanabe lower bars, Progress rear anti-sway. All factory bushings (except rear endlinks), and probably will remain so as the car is still a daily driver. I just wanted some additional rotation out of the car and for it to remain easily streetable. 10kg/mm front and 12kg/mm rear sound good?

I think it would be fine. You could even go a tad stiffer if you wanted, depending on how the ride is on the 10/12k springs.

Granted my car is a track car, but I'm running the equivalent of 17.9k/19.5k.

10k/12k will make a good set up. I used to run something very close to that. I would keep the the OEM front sway bar, and go with either OEM or something slighty bigger for the rear sway bar. The ride is going to be a little stiff for DD, but not REAL bad.

I currently have the Progress rear anti-sway installed on the car and while I was on the factory 12k/8k that Tein HA's come with it was on full stiff and I still wanted more rotation. We'll have to see how much the ride quality suffers with the 12kg/mm in the back. The ride with the 12k/10k wasn't bad so I'm not too worried about it. Then again the roads here aren't too bad.

I had the Progress rear sway bar set at full stiff, and 12k front/14k rear with the rear shocks set full stiff, I still wanted more rotation. That was why I went with a 32mm solid rear swaybar.

When the car is retired from daily driving, I'll probably have the shock revalved again. I'm thinking about running 14k front/18k rear and go with a 32mm hollow rear sway bar.
