Putnam Park w/ BMW CCA 6/18-20th, 2010

Hey guys,

I just wanted to extend the invite to Putnam Park race track in Indiana on June 18th to 20th with the BMW CCA Bimmer Bluegrass Group. More details:

Bluegrass Bimmers Chapter BMW CCA would like you to join us for our sixteenth annual Driving School Event. Students undergo a mixture of classroom and behind-the-wheel education under the supervision of trained instructors. The course of study includes vehicle dynamics, vehicle limits and limitations, driving line and track safety. Exercises are performed at speeds that are appropriate to the experience of the student. Cars must undergo technical and safety inspections prior to coming to the event. Helmets are required (Snell 2000 or newer); a limited number of loaner helmets are available.

The cost for this event is $375.

An additional Track Orientation Day is also scheduled for Friday, June 18th. It is available for all instructors and qualified students by invitation for an additional fee of $100. Students interested in being considered for attending should check the appropriate box on the application form. We will contact you after evaluating your previous experience to inform you if you have been accepted.

Please be aware: Due to the success of our open passing with a point by sessions last year, all "A" group run sesssions will be run under the open passing with a point by rules!

This Driving Event is a non-timed, non-speed, non-competitive school and it is not a race or practice for a race. You need to read and understand the coverage and exclusions of your specific auto insurance policy and be prepared to assume the risk of participating in this school.

The organizing chapter carries additional liability insurance for this event, but that insurance does not cover any damages that may happen to your car. That is your responsibility.

School Location: This year we'll celebrate our sixteenth annual driving school at Putnam Park Road Course, in Mount Meridian, IN Putnam Park . The Headquarters Hotel will be the Holiday Inn Express in Cloverdale, IN. Rooms have been blocked out at the Holiday Inn Express under our club's name. Please mention the BMW CCA Bluegrass Bimmers Drivers School to receive a special rate.

If you haven't been to Putnam Park, it's a great track that is 1.78 miles (more details here -> Putnam Park). Ali (Alikat) and I will be out there instructing and on track with our Preludes. Putnam is a great track, especially if you are just starting out. Lots of run off and it is a blast to drive. A prelude does quite well there as well and is where I started my track experience way back when. Good luck and I wish I could go as well.
