The SCCA Runoffs are on SpeedTV now and there is a yellow/white 4th gen that is doing well. There is a red 4th gen running, too. Both are doing well in the rain.
Lawrance is from my area, I know of him, but don't know him. I actually was looking at his car up on the rack as we were dynotuning the STS Civic awhile back. Some trick parts that I wish I had a camera to take some pictures of. Rear sway was huge w/ adjustablility without removing the endlinks... wish I would have taken some pictures.
I think he's had and has been racing that car for a while. That or the previous owner was racing a lot before. I've seen pics of it somewhere. Good to see him get a win. If any of you are SCCA members there are more pics in this months SportsCar.
Production is a pretty crazy class. They are allowed to do a lot to the motor. And they are allowed a lot of weight reduction. Min weight is around 2300 pounds if I remember. I was reading the GCR (SCCA Club Racing Rules) at lunch. Hoods, trunk lids, door skins, fenders are allowed to be replaced with lighter materials. Lexan is allowed for all windows. Some cars are allowed to relocate suspension mounts points and other crazy stuff, but the lude has "limited suspension modification allowances". And although cams, valves, springs, block sleeves are free, the motor must breathe through the stock throttle body and intake mani. They are only allowed to port match up to 1". Compression is limited to 10.0 on VTECs, or 12.0 on H23s. And I think they have to run 15x7 wheels. Skinny for that serious of a racecar.

Yeah, he was still trying to sell it last I heard.
Billy- I could describe the sway bar to being a blade-type adjuster. From what I heard it is is a H23 VTEC (assumed it was similar to Cory's setup), not sure in the compression. Moton shocks, Volk wheels (not sure on size), lexan windows, huge front and rear sway bars...
I wouldn't try to copy his suspension setup on DOT R tires though as his car is setup for bias slicks.
I don't think his head is VTEC since he would need to use the H23 head within the rules but it probably flows just as well or better with all the head work done and the big cams.
