Which perch position for Koni/GC

I know this has been asked before, and answered. But I can not find the thread in a search. I was thinking of putting the circlip in the top groove so I would not have to pre-load the springs as much. Or should I just leave them in the middle? I have the Neuspeed fronts (5 grooves) and regular Sport rears (3 grooves).

One more question. The shocks (2nd hand) did not come with all of the hardware. I ordered two "Honda rod kits". That should cover hardware for all four shocks. But there was something on the Koni site about a special washer for Prelude rears and the S2000. Do I need it? What does it do? Koni did not have any in stock.

TIA

If you're running typical Ground Control rates, you won't be able to preload the springs at all. The perch settings have nothing to do with preload anyway, the actual ride height you want the car at will determine how much preload (if any) you need. That being said, I would run on the lowest perch setting you can so you can put the perch as high on the threaded sleeve as possible. This will eliminate the majority of the issues with the coils rubbing on the sleeve.

I put mine on the lowest because the front coils couldn't lower the car enough when it was on a higher perch.
