OT: New Trailer

My new trailer... I'm excited.

Structural steel frame, hide away ramps, 2 1/2' beavertail, 2x8 plank floor, tear drop fenders, sealed beam lighting, HD screw jack, 14 - 5 bolt white spoke wheels and two 3500 lb axles.

Nice. How much does a set up like that set one back?

Very nice! Do you know the weight? It's certainly going to lighter than mine! I'd suggest sealing that wood against the elements. One other thing is that you'll more than likely need ramp extensions if your car is very low and/or if you use a low spoiler. I have to use 4 ft. ramp extensions with mine, and the ramps are already fairly low! The wheels appear to be a bit more forward than mine, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as I sometimes get too much tongue weight. I am planning to buy a weight distributing hitch to deal with that problem.

it weighs ~2100 lbs. I will probably seal the wood as soon as I'm finished painting the car and cleaning up the wiring. It's on the big list. I might opt for longer ramps, but my chin spoiler is quick release detachable.

There is an 3 day (school) event at Tremblant, Quebec on July 7-9 that I'm trying to get the car ready for!

The trailer was $2495 CDN new + $200 in options (toolbox & grease nips).

Congrats on the trailer. Can you post a picture of your spoiler? It's the one from roadracegear right?

You know, I e-mailed RRG and asked them about ordering two spoilers for a 5Gen, and he told me they don't make them!

John sold the company so maybe the new owner wants to help us.

Hmmm....you want to contact them? If you buy one, I'll buy one too, and they can send both to just one address to save on shipping (and hopefully increase the chances of UPS not destroying them).

RRG hadn't made one before but they did mine! I'll post pics ASAP.
