My first high-def track video

It is from the April 3 event at Thunderhill that incomplete noted in a post a few weeks ago.

I've uploaded it to Vimeo because that site handles the high quality videos better. Click the button in teh corner to see if full screen. You can easily see the GTech readouts (scales to 1.0 G's) and even the tach and speedo.

We have to run with our windows down so putting a mic on the cabin does not work. Too much wind noise. Putting them on the rear bumper works pretty good, but this time I put them in my engine bay. You sure can hear the V2 intake, and the valve clatter.

Great video. You kept up with the Vette very easily on the turns.

Those Miatas, when driven right, can humble most torque monsters.

I have a video from Laguna somewhere where I'm almost keeping up with a Corvette, for several laps. If I had had a little more power... which is what pretty much everyone says, except Miata drivers.

Great driving. The quality makes it even better.
If you had a camera view for the foot pedals, that would be sick.

I've done that before. I'll try it again the next time I'm at the track. In the mean time, I might dig up the earlier video.

High def is nice. You can see the tach and all. Event he GTech display is fairly readable, at least the G-meters. Not the text.

Placing the bullet cam on the door gives a pretty good view, too. You can see when I miss my apexes by 6".

Check out the Miata, which happens to dressed up like the Batmobile, in this video, as he drifts past two other cars in a tricky off-camber turn just over a small hill. We were stuck behind a slower car and were waiting for a safe time to pass. Fast forward to about 17:30.
