Mid-Atlantic road racing? Where?

I have a 95 Prelude that I obviously raced on the dirt, but the track has outlawed my car for the 2011 season so I am trying to find other ways to have fun with it. Is there any track or oganization in the Mid Atlantic area I could use my car at, Dirt or asphalt. Summit Point is close(2 hrs) but not sure if there is any thing I can do there other than FATT days. Any help would be appriciated. i realize I may need to do some things to run on asphalt.

There's plenty to do in that region.

Check out Eastern Motor Racing Association..Amateur Motorsports as it was meant to be.

Summit Point and Shenandoah are usually the first and last events of the season. In fact, there's an event this coming weekend if you're interested (online registration might be closed but you can still enter in person).

I checked that out, the problem is my car is gutted. I have the stock guages mounted on brackets and a Kirkey racing seat. No dash, no inner door skins, much less trim.

Not to worry, they'll still find a class for you as long as your car checks out from a safety standpoint. I've seen all kinds of stuff show up at their events (from Legends cars to ex-World Challenge BMWs), and one way or another they find a place for everyone to run.

Talk to the Competition Board Director, Bill Giltzow (compboard@emraracing.org). He'll be able to give you the details.

That really shows the spirit of the racing community that I was blown away by out here on the west coast when I first started three years ago. In short, great bunch of guys. Wierd sometimes but what are you gonna do?

Yeah, racers are a bunch of weirdos. That's why we have to look out for eachother, right?
