Came out of a turn too hard, pinched the steering a bit, ass got out. Lost it, went into and THROUGH a tire wall at around 40-50mph, then down an embankment and hit a tree at around 10mph. Luckily neither impact was harsh and neither me or the instructor were injured at all. I don't have the pic yet, but when you see the picture of how my car was, you'll wonder how the hell it was all basically cosmetic damage.
Basically all that was busted up was my passenger headlight, front bumper, hood, windshield washer reservoir, and thats about it. After we removed all the broken pieces, duct-taped and zip-tied her back together, I ran a couple sessions after test-running the car on the street.
Oh well, moral of the story is everyone was safe and the car was extremely lucky. If we didn't hit that tree, we would've slide down that embankment about 10-15 feet into a creek. That would've really ruined my trip.
I wondered how you got tire marks on the bumper... that explains it. Looks like a good time for a CF hood and a tasteful bumper replacement to me. And yes, those rims are teh sex.
wow, very lucky, the damage doesn't look too bad at all.
For what happened, I got very lucky indeed.

Insurance? or personal?
Nah, paying for it out of pocket. Its been in dire need of some work for awhile, so it's going to go in under the knife for awhile and come out looking better than ever.
Probably wondering how it didn't get dinged up (from what I can see). The car is fixable, and good thing you didn't get hurt!

I don't know much about z's, can you use the newer (much better) headlights?
anyways, gl scotty!
Yeah I thought about it, but since its basically completely going under the knife head to toe, I went with a small upgrade versus a major one for the headlights at least.
sucks Scott! That's always my biggest fear....hurting my car. Glad you seem to have a good demeanor about it and glad you are ok! Funny how I'm always more worried about damaging the car than I am about hurting myself
