looking for cheapest performance suspension

well I don’t have a lot of money to spend on a suspension but i have around 150k on the stock suspension and I think it’s time to get an upgrade, I want pure performance. I’m not worried about ride comfort. What is the cheapest set up you guys would recommend.

To me, a cheap suspension is $1k. I'd go for Neuspeed Konis with Ground Controls. If you want cheaper than that, then go with Tokico Illuminas with H&R Sport or (if you dare) "Race" springs. That setup should run around $550 to $600.

The OTS and Neuspeed Konis are a bit soft IMO, so I'd say for the best bang for the buck, buy a set of used Konis, send them to Koni to be revalved (and have them add more rebound stop length), and then add Ground Controls to that setup. If you did SPSS3 revalving, that setup ought to kick the crap out of just about any other OTS kit available like anything from Tein, JIC, etc. You're looking at around $1,200 to $1,500, though.

A friend has the Tokico kit on his CRX with the springs and Illuminas. Very nice setup. Still a tad on the soft side, but good for the money.

Just keep looking for some used koni's and GC's

I bought mine used and paid a little more than what you would for the tokico's. Just be patient and keep looking.

Are you really too lazy to find the answer for yourself on Tokico's web site???

I'd change out your bushings. I swapped out every bushing possible, except the UCA bushings, at 133k. 10k later, the UCA bushings are going out. From what I read afterwards, it's common for that to happen when lowering on a high mileage suspension. You might want to install camber kits if you intend on having a proper alighnment.
