How to find a starting point for spring rates

If your just getting into Auto-X, track days, road racing ect... and have no idea were to start with spring rates then i have something that might help you out

I put a little java-script "spring rate finder" on my web sight under the tech section. Most of the default values, ie motion ratios are for the 4th and 5th gen preludes. This is meant to just give you a general idea/ball-park figure for spring rates. Anyway feel free to check it out:

MRW Tech section with Spring rate finder

Your website isn't working right now. But I can't wait to see what your applet looks like.

OT... but any idea when the adjustable UCAs will be on sale?

I'm guessing you didn't right those tech articles for Honda specific applications. I thought the Honda OBD-II's considered 'full throttle' anything over 32% thottle input?

Out of curiosity are those wheel rates for the 5th gen Prelude? I never measured out everything to calculate it. I'll have to measure my center of gravity height though.

I did not use tire compliance in the equations. I don't think 700ish lbs/ich would be too far off for the front of your car for it's weight. what do you run up there now? I'm using 800lbs/ich in the front for h2 trim, wich is 2800lbs min wt.

Ha, i use the same rate I did when In H2 800/1250.. I can't afford to keep swaping springs around.. I still feel like I need more front spring at times..
