Honda Challenge Championship Video

Well unfortunately I didn't win my class (H2) but I still had a great time. NASA put on a fantastic event and the track was amazing. Hopefully I learned enough so I can come back next year and win it for the Preludes.
Here is a video from the second qualifying race in which I was 3rd in class behind the two Type R's. There were two 5th gen Preludes right behind me.

Nice vid dude - glad you had fun!

Those Toyos sure do make alot of noise! The track also seems really nice and smooth now. I remember seeing old in-car vids from the run-offs and it was pretty harsh.

What happened to you in the championship race? Did you break something halfway in?

Very nice, David. How many Preludes were at the National? From information I gathered on various message boards, it seemed to me that there were 3 5th gen, at least 2 4th gen, and 1 3rd gen.

you are correct
3 H2 5th gen
1 H1 4th gen
1 H4 4th gen (F22)
1 H4 3rd gen

Walter Mckinney took 3rd place in H2 and was our best finisher. The H1 blew its motor (Corey's old car) and the H4 4th gen had a bad wreck. I took a rock to the oil cooler and had to pull out. The other 5th gen had brake problems and had to fall off the pace.

Man, Dman that integra he seemed like he was on the brakes enough I was getting frustrated just watching that you seemed like you could have turned a better pace than the both of them if given a tad more room in the corners. I want to know more about how I can race with other cars, do I need to get my SCCA novice permit first?

Picture of Corey's old car (now owned by Chris Fries) posted over at rr-ax.com.

Pushing the limits of the 50/50 rule.

DR. Thanks for posting the vid. Cool as always. And sorry to hear about your retirement from the race.

I'm glad that NASA Nationals was an overall success after all the Toyo stuff, the SCCA ITR class movement, the crap that went down at H-T and subsequest split, etc...

DR, I don't know if you have an account at rr-ax.com but Thawley posted the pics he took of everone's car and there are quite a few of your car and well as some of Walter's.

Doesn't the driver of the blue 5th gen work for Honda in Ohio?
