Gauging interest in Prelude Autocross shirts...

Hello everybody. I've been a member here for a while but I don't really post. Some of you probably know me from Prelude Power. Anyway, I'm just kind of gauging the interest in some Prelude specific autocross shirts. A member posted this on Prelude Power:

i think we should bring that concept to the prelude community, someone who is screenprinter savvy could make some up for each gen of lude and market them through this website.

i think they would have a half assed decent chance at selling.

thoughts, comments, criticisms are welcome, afterall its just an idea in progress

Our dilemma is that we don't have that many active autocrossers on our website so even if we could get the shirts made it'd cost a fortune. I suggested that we see if we could team up with the Prelude Online autocrossers and bring down the costs quite a bit. Like I said, I'm just kind of gauging interest for right now. Let me know what you guys think.

-Brian

How much interest would you need to keep the costs down? There's not that many autocrossers in this site either, and most that do autocross something other than a Prelude.

That does sound pretty cool. As a matter of fact, I know a guy that just started a shirt business and is in need of customers. I might be able to get a deal with him if there is enough interest, but don't hold me to that

I don't really know honestly. I would think that if we could get maybe 15-20 members between the 2 sites we could get them pretty cheap. It's not looking good at the moment though. Not too many people here are showing interest and there are probably less than 10 on PreludePower that are interested.

Trying to throw a deal like this together without having a sample to show is what is killing your interest. Get a good design laid out that you can present, and if it looks good, you'll get your interest. I autoX a CRX, but still have a thing for Ludes, so I would be interested. If I like the design.

I'm still completely up for this, but someone with some graphic design skills needs to throw out some designs! Maybe we just use Brian's sig? lol

i would be down just get a design made up but what about getting a track lude shirt because I think a lot more people track their lude instead of autocross it

I'd be down for a track or auto-x shirt. Can't have too may Prelude shirts.

Once you get a good design up, then ears will start perking up.

so who's got designs? I am totally visual-artistically inept. I might be able to get a family friend to print them, but someone's got to throw down some pics

I'll offer up this one. It's actually a converted photo of my car at an event -- I used it on my website for a number of years.

If we can find a design that everyone agrees is good, then I'll talk to my friend with the shirt company. I say we get a couple designs to choose from first though

I'd be interested for sure, of course it would depend on the design. To get some more interest i'd suggest making a thread in somewhere other than autocross and roadracing, not that many people look through here. I'm sure some guys that don't autox might still want a shirt.

As long as there is a shirt with a 5th gen on it, ill buy it no matter the design.

New member here. I particapate in about 6-10 Auto-X's per year. I also do some trackdays.

I sold my 05 SRT-4 ACR which was a great car handling powerful car. I sold it because I wasn't happy with a 4dr and I wanted to get another 2dr for years. The kids are over 18 now, So it was time my 'Lude. Now I just need the handling it and the 300+hp I had in my 'Lude

I would be intested in a T-shirt. One with a 4th generation on front cutting a turn tight on the front of the shirt and a rear view of a 5th generation sliding sideways on the back. Put some site logo's on it and use a quality shirt. I would pay $20.00-$25.00 each for a couple of them.
