Frozen GC perches

Did your GC perches get frozen or stuck due to dirt in the threads of the sleeve?

After only a month I can't move two of the perches by hand. I think with a spanner type tool I could make them move. I'm not sure why GC does not provide you with one as everytime I adjusted them I ended up cutting mu hands on the sharp corners of the perch.

I found some generic coilover spanners on e-bay for .99 + 7.00 shipping. Any other good places to buy something like this?

I haven't had mine freeze up yet.

There are other places to buy the tool, but I doubt you will find a lower than that price.

Try using hot/warm water in a squirt bottle with a sharp hard nozzle to help break up the dirt. I do this every time I lift the car in the air and have never had the perches get stuck on me...3+ years...and no spanner wrench. Though my springs are at full droop (no preload) when I move the perches by hand, otherwise you would "definitely" need a tool.

Never had a problem. If you hands get cut up adjusting them, gloves might be a good idea.

when i first got my GC's i had the car set up at about stock ride. I went to adjust the car to flaten it out and i could NOT move the perches! I called up GC and they sent me a Spanner wrench FREE! It did take like 4 weeks to get to me... I was in no hurry to get it... But like was said here if you are in a hurry buy one off ebay.

Good luck

Thanks for the responses.

And Billy, I did wear some gloves the second time but I still couldn't move them.
