Front Sway Bar Removal

Hello Folks,

I want to try to run without my front sway bar. I'm concerned that I may have issues because I don't run the spring rates that you all run. For now I have Tein Flex's which have 559/336. Can't afford to do anything else for now so I'm stuck with what I have. They will have to do for the rest of the season. Is this going to be too soft and make it unstable?

I haven't tried it but I have heard of people that have and haven't heard anything bad about it. Really, it would be better to start out with the stiffest rear sway bar (Progress rear sway bar) you can get before disconnecting the front bar. Another idea is, if you have a base, get the SH front sway bar which is actually softer than the base and giving that a try.

When you end up changing your setup I would highly recommend getting Koni SP3's, having them revalved to SPSS3 and getting Ground Control's with spring rates of somewhere around 600F 800R. I am running this setup but with 700R instead of 800 and it works very well for the track and tolerable on the street.

I've run without the front sway bar (I'm on Tein HAs) and it wasn't too bad but noticed the front of the car rolling so I installed an SH sway bar instead. So far so good but I need to get stiffer springs...
