Do you wear a helmet, gloves and fire suit while playing?

I was wondering if people that actually tracked or autoxed got this into playing race sims; GT4, GTR, GTR2, rFactor, GTL, or other rally / formula 1 games.

I have never driven while wearing any of these items, so I'm not sure how much it impairs you. Seems like it may help get you used to the extra stuff.

also this pic made me laugh do the whole beer thing.

-A helmet makes my head look HUGE-no joke, but I have a big head anyway, and when I'm in my Lude it only swells more here are some shots of my noggin to show you guys not to jack the thread. That is one thing that takes some getting use to when you autocross my noggin scrapes the rood and I have to drive with my head in a downward position

In this one my head is bigger than the stadium in the background in Atlanta

He karts in GB, and does some normal car racing as well. I guess the motorcycle helmet is useful when karting.

I can not say that I have ever worn my helmet while playing a race sim, but I do have a wheel / pedal setup with Z4 motorsport seat attached to it.

Your there- The closest I think I come is when I'm playing I'll lean like I'm turning-its kinda comical to watch.

I have a picture somewhere of an old NTPOG'er who was wearing his helmet at work.

I have long since held that Gran Tourismo is the next best thing to actually being on track. All the good first-time autoxers I've seen spent a lot of time playing racing sims.

mtangklr, are you trying to look like you drive a RHD Prelude? Mirror that picture back to normal.

Here is my wheel setup. My wife hates this thing ... Eventually I will get around to painting it. I have the Act Labs wheel, pedal / clutch, and gated shifter for PC games (about the only thing I play on PC is LiveForSpeed and rFactor) and the Logitech wheel for PS2.

pshhh nah that IS normal! haha! The RHD effect is making me more popluar with the ladies! ! Actually it was taken with a disposiable camera then put on to CD and from the developing process it came out mirrored-so ok I don't have a RHD prelude but it looks good until people call me out

You need to pick up GTR-2 it's great! Colin McRae 2005 is a nice one too, but most people are not into wrc over here.
