Circle Tracking (on dirt)

Just a question i have a 93 prelude type s that im going to swap out the engine to a 94 H22A Vtech from japan. Ive locked the tranny it has a 100lph fuel pump, other raceing stuff..csc race cage ..kirkey race seat M& R belts, 8 gallon jaz fuel cell.. anyways my question is what kinda of torque and hp am i looking to gain.

Bear in mind im raceing on a 1/3 mile dirt oval with little banking and a will be raceing a 1/2 mile oval and 1/3 mile oval ashphalt track as well but they are just occassionaly

let me know

You might want to check out the Naturally Aspirated Forum for more info on the engine.

Got any pictures of the car? I've thought of building a car for some dirt circle track, but I have enough projects going on and another race series would put a major strain on my home life.

I think you are refering to the VTEC. Read about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VTEC
http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question229.htm

You also have to adjust the valves from time to time. Unlike most american V8s there is no hydraulic tappet between the cam & rocker arm. The rocker arm rides the cam lobe diretly and actuates the valve directly. So to account for wear you have to adjust the rockers from time to time. It's normal to hear ticking under the valve cover but if it sounds bad its time to adjust.

Can't wait to see pics. I've heard of 2nd & 3rd gens (1980s cars) being used in dirt track oval round here and in the south. They are apparently pretty good at it. Most of the four banger dirt track series have max car price or claim rules so nobody uses anything too expensive. They are all throwaway cars.
