Ball joint adjustable endlinks?

http://www.powergridinc.com/thk.asp

Anyone heard much about these? Instead of heim joints/rod ends they use a "ball link/joint". Looks more similar to oem links. They have more articulation (55*) than normal rod ends and looks like better protection from the elements. Comes in metric so some adapter will still be necessary for my Progress bar.

I'm going to contact them and see if I can get something to fit the Prelude.

If they come in metric, it should fit the Progress bar without any modification. The Progress bar was made to fit 12mm bolts (at least mine was).

They're dirt cheap, that's for sure. I like their stab at heim joints (rod ends) saying they'll become noisy. Of course they will over time, but so will theirs. My rod end end links haven't become noisy yet.

I wonder if they notch the spacer between the ball joint and the mounting surface. I would hope so since that's the only thing I can see that would keep the ball joint from rotating while you torque the nut (unless they use an inset hex key like the stock end links). EDIT: The picture on the main page looks different than the pictures in their eBay store. The pictures on the main page show a hex on the stud, so that would certainly work.

I would also wonder if the metal rod between the ball joints is robust enough for a very stiff sway bar.

I remember seeing this product in Grassroots Motorsports for a few months though. Looks interesting for sure.

I was hoping you'd chime in with some thoughts Yeah, I just finally got around to reading that issue of GRM a couple days ago and saw it. I was just thinking last night about the ball rotation issue as well since I didn't see a hex in the studs but it would be great if they have them.

I just wish the 4th gens didn't bolt directly [i]into[/] the knuckle at the top end of the link. The studs aren't long enough on those ball joints. Guess I'll have to use at least one rod end on that side.

I'll try to get in touch with them next week and report back.

Speaking of adjustable endlinks, what center to center length has worked for the 5th gen guys? I ask as my endlinks were rubbing against the shock body, when used with the progress bar on the stiffest setting. So, I increased their length, as it seemed this would move the lower rod end away from the shock body; unfortunatly I still suspect they are rubbing/contacting.

Oh, and in my haste to get my car back on the road I forgot to measure the original and final lengths used.
