auto-x today

I'm about to leave for an auto-x the Alfa Romeo club in my area is hosting. This'll be the first time auto-xing the prelude, but in years past I've auto-x'd an 86 vette Z51, and a 91 Miata, so I'm pretty excited right now. I've been itching to auto-x for a while now, and since I couldn't make it to NPM, I decided I'd treat myself.
I'm running Pirelli P6 Four Seasons which I expect to be mediocre at best, and I have worn UCA bushings, so I don't think i'll be setting any records. Fun is fun though. wish me luck

lol, I was talking to a guy who saw that video
I was horribly under-tired on my all-seasons, but my best time was a 42.597 second run, for reference, the fastest Miata was running in the 37 second range. I did beat another prelude by a second or so. He wasn't a po.com member though. I heard a Megan exhaust, it was silenced and it sounded great! I got to ride in it, and it didn't drone or anything.

all in all

yeah pretty much. The guy with the prelude just bought new konigs, so he's got his near-perfect stockies for sale w/ worn tires for $100 I figure I'll pick those up, put my all seasons on there, and have my worn out stockies painted black or powdercoated and have some sticky summer tires on by next season. From there, I figure I'd slap on some better brake pads and since I've got one slightly warped rotor, and maybe a rear swaybar. I'd like to put a pair of racing seats in there too, as that'd help me stay planted in my seat w/o a harness. I haven't added it all up yet, but with my wholesale account it'll be less of a dent in my wallet. I'd stop there with the modifications, as with my motor swap and suspension work, I'd be in the big dog class. I just plan on making the prelude auto-x-able until I can buy a miata.

I'd just save the money for the miata, run what ya got until you can afford it.
