i agree, but just out of curiousity, have you ever heard of them looking up VINs to find out if it's really an SH? not that i'd ever try and fool them (and in my case i have other modifications that would disqualify me for STS), but many SH ludes have aftermarket rims, side sills, and no "type sh" sticker... by the same token, there are many base ludes with spoilers and side sills.

Well, autoxing is a sport that has a great comradery. Its not like a drag strip where everyone keeps secrets and do stuff to try to beat you at any cost... Info is shared, everyone is friends, eveyone knows what you got for the most part, and everyone helps each other out. I wouldnt see it as a problem.....

It was our 1st event this year, I had to run in STX due to what was posted in Fastrack. STX just sucks.......no competition whatsoever against those damn WRX's. It was raining here during the event, one WRX ran a 52.xxx and my best was a 64.xxx (spun out on my 1st and 3rd runs). I'm really frustrated, I think I'm gonna give STX another try next month. If my time doesn't come close to what the WRX can do, I'm going back to STS in my Integra.

I guess I'll find out in March what kind of competition I'll have in STX. I already know of one modded WRX that will be in that class.

it should be a different story on dry pavement... but even if not, at the end of the day, the rex is still a damned ugly car.

That sucks Vince. Wow, must be nice to have a regular season starting already. Maybe its just time to put on some rcompounds and mod her up to DSP... I am ready for it I think. I took it out yesterday for a fun run/test and tune winter autox and I was on half throttle all day because of the new parts. But man, it handled sooo nice. Im so happy with it. And DSP is getting all of the old STR guys pretty much, at least around here. And then there are the STS guys who got race tires. So its not going to be like I thought, where it was gonna be a hard class where you have less entrants making a trophey that much harder, but still, it will be fun to run against everyone again.

Unlike LSDs that limit the power going through each of the wheels, ATTS can control how much goes where. I think it's 90% to the outside wheel. But imagine having 4WS and ATTS on the same car. Wouldn't that be a useful feature?

Either one can control how much goes where, up to a pre-set limit -- the difference is the way each system controls torque distribution, and the purpose behind it. An LSD is trying to prevent wheelspin, and incidently may help steer the car under some conditions; ATTS is trying to steer the car, and incidently may prevent wheelspin under some conditions.
The torque transfer limit for ATTS is 15%, I believe, which would put up to 65% of the torque to the outside wheel. Honda never installed 4WS and ATTS on the same chassis, but it could certainly be done -- it would require a recalibrated control system, since the relationship between speed, wheel angle and yaw rate will be different, so it's not exactly a home conversion project!
