anyone with experiences at SpeedTrial USA events?

I was curious about doing the one at gingerman raceway in michigan, but Before I plunk down 130+ of my hard earned cash, I want to know what to expect, so for the ppl that have been to these events, I'd like to get feedback from you as to whether or not you liked it, was it worth the money, and any pros or cons you think are important. Things I'd like to know in particular are

1. Did you have to work any of the corners or stuff like that (like at an autox) when you weren't driving?

2. How much driving time did you actually get? They say you'll get at least hour and 20 mins.

3. How safe is it? Any accidents happen?

4. How much did it wear out your car? I think the 2 things that get killed at something like this is your tires and your brakes. I've never driven my car for an hour 20 mins at its max, so I don't know how fast they'd wear out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to a fun day lapping day in March. I have also had some friends go before and seen some. You just have to remember to wear long pants and sleeved shirts. They say bring extra brake pads as you will move thru some of the pad. As long as you have a good amount of pad on there though, you should be fine. Tires will be noticeably be a little worn. Do you have rcompounds? You will notice the most on there. Another thing you want to do is bleed your brakes before you go as you will experience brake fade like you never have before as the brakes heat up and vaporize the moisture that is in the lines that accumulates over time. This forms air and then you get squishy brakes. Other than that, bring plenty of water in a cooler. You will need to work some corners when you are not running. Depending on how it is set up, you will get several 20 min sessions in the morning, alternating running and working, then the afternoon could be open track... Oh yeah, extra oil might be beneficial.
