I am going to a fun day lapping day in March. I have also had some friends go before and seen some. You just have to remember to wear long pants and sleeved shirts. They say bring extra brake pads as you will move thru some of the pad. As long as you have a good amount of pad on there though, you should be fine. Tires will be noticeably be a little worn. Do you have rcompounds? You will notice the most on there. Another thing you want to do is bleed your brakes before you go as you will experience brake fade like you never have before as the brakes heat up and vaporize the moisture that is in the lines that accumulates over time. This forms air and then you get squishy brakes. Other than that, bring plenty of water in a cooler. You will need to work some corners when you are not running. Depending on how it is set up, you will get several 20 min sessions in the morning, alternating running and working, then the afternoon could be open track...

Oh yeah, extra oil might be beneficial.
